6 Best Board Games for Family

Best Board Games for FamilyThere’s no boredom buster quite like the traditional board game. The people you spend your time with are who really determine how good a time you have. But If Candy Land, Monopoly and Uno have run their course with your family, it may be time to graduate to these fun games that slip past the radar for many.

1. 7 Wonders

Moms and dads are surprised by how much they enjoy this one. With all the cards and pieces, this game can seem a bit intimidating at first, but when the game ends and you’ve hit all 7 wonders you’ll be glad you played. We hope you find your family as caught up in this one as we were.

2. Ticket to Ride

This is an excellent game to reach for when you need a light but thought provoking good time with the family. Building your own sets is just so much fun. Claiming routes to your next destination doesn’t get old which is why we had to add this one to the list.

3. Timeline

This is a new game in our collection that uses cards. Our favorite part about it is that it doesn’t take too much time so it’s great to play with kids with less patience, and even adults that don’t want to get sucked into a game for hours.

4. Rollick

This is the ultimate party game at our house. Rollick is very similar to the classic charades. Watching your family members act out something totally ridiculous can be a real riot. Prepare for some serious laughs! Your goal is to get your team members to guess the right phrase to win. We love this one.

5. Pandemic

This is a cooperative game that the whole family can enjoy. Pandemic is actually known for starting the cooperative game trend. There are multiple ways to lose this game but only one way to come out on top. This hikes up the competitive factor, but encourages you to work as a team to win!

6. Sequence

The best part of Sequence is that there’s no limit to the amount of people that can join in on the fun. You can bring in extended family for game night or just keep it between you and the kids. Essentially you are playing cards and placing chips on the board. Sounds easy but it’s a rocking good time for everyone.

What are some games your family plays at home for fun? We’d love to add some of your favorites to our game night roster. Tell us on our Facebook page and share the love!

infant support pillow

Written by Alicia Overby - Founder & President of Baby Elephant Ears

Alicia is wife, mother, and creator of Baby Elephant Ears. Baby Elephant Ears was created out of parental concern, not financial desire. In 2005, when their second child was an infant, he cried all the time and just couldn't seem to get comfortable.

After seeking advice and suggestion from the medical community and alternative medicine, they eventually ended up in the chiropractors office where their baby was successfully treated for asubluxation, discomfort most likely the result of the strain during labor, which was now being exacerbated by the normal lack of infant neck strength. Only proper neck, head, and back alignment would offer him relief. When they couldn't find a product to give their baby the necessary support, Alicia took matters into her own hands and crafted her own infant support pillow. The first Baby Elephant Ears was born!
